As known, JEE is conducted in two parts i.e. JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Here, let’s talk about the strategies which aspirants may use for JEE preparation. These strategies might seem very trivial but it is important to follow them in order to prepare really well for the exam.
JEE Main 2020 Tips
- Time is everything!
Time plays a crucial role in all kinds of competitive exams. And, when one is preparing for one of the toughest entrance examinations worldwide, one has to be a little more conscious of time. A clear-cut timetable is mandatory for candidates. And yes, following that timetable is even more important! Only then would one be able to finish the syllabus in-time. The structure of timetable must be made in such a way that the topics are distributed evenly, as per the difficulty level of the topics.
- Know your Syllabus
The candidates must be completely aware of the syllabus of the examination. Studying things which might not be in the syllabus will eat up the time which could have been utilized for an important concept. Similarly, missing out on a very frequently asked topic might give the candidates a lag. It is better to make a list of all the topics and sub-topics according to the frequency with which they have been asked in the examination, in the previous years.
- Don’t let the “Past” be in the past!
We are talking about the previous year question papers. Collect and go through the JEE Main question paper of the previous years. Solve them within the stipulated time. It will help you get a better understanding of where you stand in your preparation. You will also get a better hold of the exam pattern, important topics and the concepts which you need to focus more on.
- Mocks are crucial
Regularly taking Mock Tests can never be forgotten when one is talking about the preparation of any competitive exam. Solve as many mock tests and sample papers as possible to gain a first-hand experience of the examination.
- Use Flash-Cards
Make Flash-Cards and short notes for quick revisions. You can paste them near your study table or any other place of your choice. These can help you in revising the difficult formulae and short tricks to solve complex questions.
- Don’t forget to “Revise”
Candidates must do the revision thoroughly. Create your strategy for last-minute preparation at the beginning itself. You can not go through the entire course again and again. Thus, you must plan your revision tricks beforehand.
